The National Basketball Association, NBA 2K22 is a 2021 basketball video game developed by Visual Concepts and released by 2K. (NBA). It is also the 23rd game in the NBA 2K line, the successor to NBA 2K21, as well as the predecessor of NBA 2K23.To September 10, 2021, the game was made accessible on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Each S/X. On October 19, 2021, the NBA 2K22 Playground Version was made accessible on Apple Arcade. [1][2] The game sold over 10 million copies since May 2022.

There wasn't a lot of discussion of gameplay. Nearly all of the discussion focused on the need for more "control," something NBA 2K21 already did a far better job of. With updated blocking and steal algorithms, there does seem to be more of an attempt made to make defense enjoyable. The emphasis on offense also seeks to reward high levels of skill rather than the dice-rolling elements for which the franchise has become famous. Some of this appears promising, but there aren't enough details, so it's difficult to predict how these concepts will play out.
